The British raincoat – although the Bal collar allegedly stems from a town in Inverness so Scottish if you like being pedantic (which we do) – is an item that should grace most men’s wardrobe in some form or another. Designed for the purpose of keeping you as dry as possible, the collar envelops the neck when up and folds down neatly dodging showers and to keep the smart appearance of the potential suit worn beneath. The shape of the coat is A-lined to physically take the rain away from the body. This new version comes with a woollen/cashmere liner, unbutton for warmer climes and add back in to stave off the frost. Details include two welted pockets, two inside pockets, button adjustable sleeves and large single vent for mobility. Timeless, like rain.
